About Us

“We believe that every person wrestles with fear in some capacity.  From doubt, anxiety, insecurity, intimidation, fear has robbed each of us of something.  We want to create a safe place for people to process their doubts, wrestle with their fear, and move to a place where they are brave enough to say yes to God’s invitation.”

About Us

Bart and Lauren Lindsey

For over 16 years, Bart and Lauren Lindsey had the honor to serve as student pastors, kids pastors, and executive pastors at churches across the southeast. There they had many opportunities to grow and develop in various aspects of ministry. These experiences shaped and prepared them to launch and pastor Brave Church.

Bart and Lauren felt God call them to plant a new life-giving church in Missouri City, TX in 2019 as they were praying and asking God what their next step might be. Through a miraculous series of events and a visit to Missouri City, God clearly confirmed this calling through divine encounters. From that moment on they begin the process of launching Brave Church. Bart and Lauren partnered with CMN (Church Multiplication Network) and ARC (Association of Related Churches) and were approved and trained to plant this church.

The Lindseys moved to Missouri City in July 2019 and immediately began meeting people and building teams. God has sent many incredible people to come alongside this vision of this church – to give people the courage to fulfill their God-given destiny.

Bart and Lauren have 3 children: Ally, Landree and Lincoln. They love watching movies, playing board games, taking hikes and cheering for the Auburn Tigers.

About Us

Our Core Values

Jesus Is Our Message

Our primary focus is to share the good news of Jesus with people who are far from God and to teach people how to follow Him.  The message of Jesus, the Gospel, literally means “good news” and this good news is the central message of our church.  We are Jesus people, not religious people.  Methods will come and go, yet our message will remain the same.  Jesus is our message. Matthew 28:18-20, Colossians 1:15-29, Romans 1:16-17

People Are Our Passion

Our love for God is revealed through our love for people.  We believe that people matter to God, so they must matter to us.  People are our greatest asset.  So, we value, celebrate, invest, and encourage them.  Our heart is for ALL people regardless of race, gender or socioeconomic background.  We are committed to doing anything short of sin to reach the lost for Jesus.  Brave Church is a reaching church, a rescuing church, and an inviting church.   John 3:16, Luke 15, Luke 19:10

Excellence Is Our Standard

We believe that excellence honors God, inspires people, and builds trust. If the Gospel is the best message, then we believe the best message deserves the best preparation and the best presentation. Excellence is about doing the little things in a big way.  God is into the details, so we are into details.  We are passionate about creating excellent environments and experiences for people to encounter God.  We will always do our very best with what we have.  If we are going to do it, we are going to do it to the best of our ability.  Colossians 3:23-24, Daniel 6:3, 1 Kings 10

Generosity Is Our Lifestyle

Generosity is about giving more than what is required.  We see generosity as a privilege.  We’re generous with our time, talents and treasure.  We believe that Christians should be known as the most generous people on the planet.  We should give cheerfully, regularly, and sacrificially.  We believe that we should live with open hands always ready to give and receive.  We believe in tithe and offerings motivated by grace, not guilt.  Our church is not built on the generosity of a few but on the sacrifice and generosity of many.  God has given richly towards us; therefore, it’s our privilege to give back to Him and share with others.  Malachi 3:10, Proverbs 11:24-26, 2 Corinthians 8 & 9

Serving Is Our Calling

We believe that every person has a calling to serve others.  Serving others is one of the most fulfilling parts of the Christian life.  Serving is not something we do; serving is who we are.  We believe that anyone can be great because anyone can serve. At Brave Church, our position is that if you’re too big to serve, you’re too small to lead.  We believe saved people serve people. We are contributors not consumers.  Every leader is a servant first.  From the parking lot to the pulpit, everyone serves.  Serving is not an option. Serving is our calling. 1 Peter 4:10, Matthew 23:11, Mark 10:35

Worship Is Our Response

We believe that one of the most essential elements of our faith is worshipping God.  The word “worship” at its most basic level means to ascribe worth.  It’s about reverence and honor when we humble ourselves in light of who God is.  But worship isn’t necessarily about music or a church service.  Worship is what you do every moment of every day.  Prayer can be an act of worship.  Giving generously can be an act of worship.  Listen to and praying for our co-worker who is going through a difficult time can be an act of worship.  Loving your spouse well and leading your family in a God-honoring way can be an act of worship.  Our desire is to worship God and honor Him with everything we say and do.  Romans 12:1, John 4:21-24, Hebrews 13:15-16
